Resolving Slow Load Times or Inaccurate Availability on the Student Experience

If you're a provider administrator and you're experiencing:
  • Slow loading times when accessing the student experience (e.g., logged in as a student or community college member), or
  • Inaccurate appointment availability when trying to book through the Find Your Ally website as a student,
…it’s likely due to outdated cookies or cached browser data.

✅ Recommended Fix: Clear Your Browser Cache and Cookies

  1. Open your browser settings (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. Navigate to Privacy & Security > Clear Browsing Data.
  3. Select Cookies and Cached Images/Files.
  4. Choose a time range of at least the last 2–4 weeks, or even last 2 months.
  5. Click Clear Data.
  6. Close and reopen your browser.
This should resolve most issues related to outdated session data or stale availability views.

🛠️ Alternative Workaround (If You Don’t Want to Clear Cookies)

If you prefer not to clear your cookies/cache:
  • Open a fresh browser where you’re not logged into the provider side of Find Your Ally.
  • Then, open a new incognito/private window and access the student experience from there.
This bypasses stored browser data and should allow the system to load correctly.

💡 Why This Happens

Sometimes, when changes are made to your browser session (like switching roles or updating settings), older data gets stored and interferes with how the site loads. Clearing cache or using incognito mode helps reset that session and avoid glitches.
